First of all, Dole Plantation is filled with fun for everyone in the family and is a must do experience that the entire family will enjoy. Second, you will want to plan on going early and take sunscreen and a hat. Also, Dole Plantation is quite popular and can get crowded making parking a bear later in the day. Of course, if you can take a tour bus up to Wahiawa, all the better.
Equally important, the garden tour is a good place to take photos. It has the most native foliage in one area than anywhere else we found. Eight different gardens make up the garden tour, highlighting many of the tropical plants that are grown on the Hawaiian islands.
Be sure to ride the Pineapple Express. You’ll be ready to sit down after trekking through the maze.
Additionally, it’s a perfect way to see the mango and banana trees, and so many other plants and trees grown in Hawaii.
The two mile train ride winds through the plantation grounds telling about the history of the Dole Plantation and the pineapple in Hawaii.
