The Japanese Friendship Garden is one of the most beautiful and serene places in San Diego. Located at Balboa Park, the twelve acre garden is considered to be an expression of friendship between San Diego and its sister city, Yokohama. The Japanese Friendship Garden offers an assortment of exhibits and educational programs, as well as festivals throughout the year.
It would make an amazing place to have family photos taken. They also offer several options for private parties and weddings.
This is a picture taken while looking down into the gardens. The way the gardens are set up, you start at the top and walk down in a slow spiral. it makes for quite a walk back up to the exit, but it’s well worth it. Don’t worry though, it is stroller and wheelchair accessible so everyone can visit.
